Spoiler:
Chitanya looked up at Stanley. "Very well, I understand your need to help. You just let me know if there is anything you need." She tells him in a compassionate voice.

Letting go of his arm and stepping to the side slightly she watches as the doctor examines Mr. Anderson.

Spoiler:
ooc: What kind of stuff?

Latheron didn't take anything out in his examination. He had a hand on the chest top, and was ready to close and lock it at a moment's notice.

ooc: Close and lock chest should it become apparent that someone will enter the room.

"He's been dead for several hours." John said to no one in particular, standing up and taking a small step back, "He died sometime late last night or very early this morning if I had to guess."

Spoiler:
"Excuse me doctor." Chitanya said as she took a step towards him. "Is it in your opinion that he perished before we arrived on the boat, we did arrive rather late, or do you believe he passed after we got here?" She asked hoping for a little more clarity. "May I cover him back up now?" She moved to do just that.

Spoiler:
After covering the body back up, Chitanya turns to the others. "I am not sure what is to be done now." She stated.

"Stanley, can you tell us at what time Mr. Anderson had retired for the evening? And how soon after he did so the boat that we were on arrived?" She asked him gently.

"Maybe we should... I don't know, leave this to the pro," Raydan said gently, placing his hand on Stanley's shoulder. "Did the man have any... enemies? Rivals? Kicked any puppies?"

He cracked a smile, although distress was written clearly on his handsome features. It appeared he was trying to lighten the mood.

Deciding he should help with the investigation, Latheron began thinking things over. But first he would need an accurate map. He continued climbing out onto the porch, then climbed down to the ground before heading over to the lighthouse, checking to see if anyone was up there.

Re: "Small World" - Whodunit RPG (First Attempt)

Post by Blaster427 on Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:52 am

Spoiler:
Latheron climbed the lighthouse to the top, then looked out over the island, noting everything. He got out a piece of paper and began charting the island, every little detail, then checked and examined his work. He had done this several times with over towns, so he had learned how to get it to scale. Once he was satisfied he climbed back down, then got out his grappling rope.
Spinning it in a vertical circle, Latheron tossed it up and onto the porch, pulling on it to ensure it's caught on the railing. He then began climbed up, and onto the porch, putting the rope away when he was done, and stretching.

Blaster
Spoiler:
ooc:
Rekee got back to me about what was inside the chest.

Bundles of clean clothes. A bundle of dirty clothes.
A clothe wrapped box. It has a latch and a lock on it.
The chest itself also has carved ornaments (as he said). I think he meant something like this, the left side.

Given your character's thief experience, I'll give this hint: There's more to this than there seems, and you may want to be careful.

Lobby
Spoiler:
Dummy.

Master Bedroom
Spoiler:
"His document stuff is there." Stanley said as he motioned to a pair of large wooden file cabinets. Locks were built into each drawer, and a simple tug indicated each of them were in use.

"I don't think anything's missing..." Stanley said with uncertainty as he gave the room a slow once over.

-
ooc:
Room map.
He's referring to the orange cabinets.

Chitanya asked a bit more firmly trying to get through Stanley's grief. Heading over to the desk and drawers to start looking herself if Stanley has no answers.

Glyph
Spoiler:
If one is to assume that Mr. Anderson was clubbed to death in his sleep, it seemed he moved around a little during the assault. It didn't seem he was able to truly react though.

"Where is the key to the cabinets?" Chitanya could be overheard as Latheron reentered the master bedroom.

Stanley started to look through the desk drawers, moving slowly. He seemed lost.
"I don't know where he kept them."
Chitanya assisted the big man with his searching of the desk.

Star
Spoiler:
Upon searching the desk drawers, nothing really stands out. It's mostly stuff one would expect.
A couple of candle stands are on the desk though.
(That image only provides a rough idea. I wouldn't treat any details as canon unless specified.

"If you'll forgive me for what may seem to be a redundant question, you and Mr. Anderson were the only ones on this estate prior to our arrival, correct, Stanley?" Inlaid inquired. While he waited for a response, the short man counted the occupants of the room on his fingers.
