In memorium of a fallen felyne comrade.
It saddens me to have to put this here, but seeing as how I used the name so much in RP's, writings and whatnot, my old buddy and family pet of 15 years has finally passed on. Oswald, which was one of his many names over time left our property night before last and hasn't returned. We've had other pets do this over the years when they knew it was there time to go, but I never expected him to do that. It's been so hard talking to my mother on the phone, as he stayed where she lives and never, EVER strayed off of our property for any amount of time do to being of old age and pretty enfeebled.
We're never prepared for stuff like this and in reality I realize that I have cried more over the little guy than some of my own family members. It just hurts so much knowing that when I go down there, he won't be coming around to greet me anymore and I won't be able to sit and let him sleep in my lap. I hate it, and it doesn't help with the mind asking all those WHAT IF questions.
RIP fuzzy buddy mr. mean. Love and miss you something awful.

Sorry to hear about this, and hope you feel better soon.
I can relate to being more attached to pets than relatives.
The "what if" and "how" type questions are the worst part too.
I'm sure he lived a very happy and long life with you all. Can't really ask for more than that.
It's only natural for this kind of thing to happen. I'm sure you did everything to be expected to make his life the best it could be.

Appreciate that bud. I still hate the not knowing what happened part, but it's a common occurrence for critters to make that final journey away. It just sucks is all.

Man. I hate to hear about stuff like this. I'm sorry it happened. I know how important a pet can become after being with them for over a decade. Hope you're doing all right, bud.

A shame to hear about it, Andras. The worst part is not knowing.
Try not to feel so bad about it. 15 years is a good run for a cat. At least you got to spend a lot of time together.

Yeah, I know. It's getting a little easier to cope with, and I have plenty of pictures to remind me of him, as well as a funny video of him. Just miss seeing him when I go visit mom now.
