Overwhelming Music Thread

Hey folks, assface- er, I mean Glyph here, with another retarded thread. I meant to ask the other day, but due to total imbecilestystyery, I forgot. What kinds of music do you guys listen to? Do you play any musical instruments? Personally, I play keyboard mostly, but am trying to learn guitar. I'm not very good at either of them. I remember that some people from the other forum played something, but I don't think any of the people I am thinking of made the crossover... Anyways, I just thought that this would be another typical place to talk about "insert boring, fucktarded, everyday topic here". And I also made this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NftOot5RhNI . Watch it or don't, but if you do watch it, could you provide some constructive criticism? I'm asking for any opinions you might have, hopefully so that I may improve, if possible. Signing off!

I listen to everything pretty much from opera to hip hop, country to techno, etc i lov music is wut drives the bboy in me.

I listen from classical to classic metal. I pretty much stop when we hit Metallica. I'm not a fan of rap or hip-hop, but I won't go as far as to say I hate them, or deny them. The only type of music I will punch you for making me listen to is the top 40 stuff. I play tuba, and am currently learning guitar.

Well for me sence I breakdance i lov to draw music from all over. For Ex. u like this little symphony and u throw some techno for the mid range tone with a badass guitar in the back behind the symphony, fine tune everything and u got a great song and you go from there. Thats how I see it.

That kind of thing can be done really easily. Writing and composing music is MUCH harder.

to me thats much easyer cause i have so much influence around me because my brother play 6 instraments. also ive done composing music before so it comes better to me. Yet i see wut you mean it can be hard but if you know wut you want its easyer. imo

I love music that lets your mind escape from reality. Music without words does this for me, because there are no judgmental or hate filled lyrics to deter it. Classic, orchestral, choral as well, as long as I know not the lyrics. Trance, techno, dubstep and the like are my sounds of choice. I listen to all kinds of lyrical songs as well, but they are not my favorites. I really don't like rap. That about sums it up.

Man I know what you mean Andy, see I hate mainstream rap alot I love underground rap or underground music. Like Nujabes he hardly had any rap but mainly songs that will make you feal free and have no worries. Yet the rap songs he has are kik ass imo cause he talks about love nd life not drugs, sex, money. Thats why Nujabes is one of my favorite artests.

I don't like any specific artists or genre's only songs. For example, I hate a lot of stuff by the Beatles, but there is also some stuff by them I really like. Something I find annoying is how easy to produce/completely untalented most popular music is.

Thats why I hate mainstream because most of the artest of producer can talk about stupid "stuff" and make millions, while underground can have a great beat and meaningfull words yet they will hardly get noticed by anyone...

I generally listen to rock/metal, but anything fast paced generally attracts my attention, DnB, good Dubstep, and also a lot of soundtracks. I'm not entirely sure where these would be placed outside of 'Soundtrack' (that's how they are listed on iTunes XD), but things like the Mass Effect soundtracks (amazing), the Assassin's Creed soundtracks, UT3 is a favourite.
