Map Details:

“Kill it!!!” A woman screamed as the group of 8 hunters departed from the outpost. Sobbing mournfully, she screamed again at the top of her lungs. “Kill the bastard, at any cost… please!” Her weeping drowned out by members of the guild trying to console her and restrain her from following the party of hunters.

“Poor lass.” Stated a Wyverian elder, heading up the pack of hunters. “She watched as her husband breathed his dying breaths. It’s thanks to his words that you all are going to see what exactly decimated this poor group of men.” The small statured man wore a white robe trimmed in gold, though his appearance beneath the robe was more commonplace for officiating members of the Guild outpost. Similar to that of the elders and guild in Pokke, he wore a thick hided light brown jacket and pants, and small black leather boots. Oddly enough, he sported a large white beard and mustache instead of the well maintained look of the other elder Wyverian’s. “No one should have to witness such a thing.”

Walking along side of the man was Felyne of similar stature, albeit bigger in body size. A native to the Tundra mountain area, this Felyne was not your commonplace short haired lynian. Boasting an unusually muscular frame, he sported thick gray fur, save for on his face. The markings on his face changed from grey to a brilliant white color, mostly around his whiskers giving the appearance of a large white moustache. He wore a flannel vest, procured from the jungle dwelling emerald congalala, trimmed in brilliant white blango fur. He also sported a bob tail, one which looked like it had been lost long ago. “She’s rrright. Sum’bitch nyeedin’ be in the ground.” The lynian spoke, with a thick mountain/countrified accent.

“Nya… Verrry true, but guild need know what slay hunters sent to face Baggi.” A female Felyne stated, though not nearly as thick furred. It’s ears sported longer fur, creating more sharp looking points. Her frame was not nearly as muscular, but was taller than both the burly felyne and the Wyverian elder. Her fur was striped horizontally, alternating in brown, black and gray from head to tail. Her tail was much longer than that of a common Felyne’s. One could assume she was of eastern origin, perhaps from the Wyverian Hub.

The burly felyne growled under his breath. “Bring’im back in pieces, fellas.”

The Wyverian coughed aloud, interrupting the felyne. “That’s enough, Baryn. Sidney is right, we need whatever it is in a good enough state to be studied, live or dead.”

The female felyne looked at the Wyverian and sighed. “I know what Baryn mean, masterrr.”

“As do I, but we cannot jeopardize future quests by not knowing what we are up against.” The elder stated. “Oh, how rude of me.” Stopping in his tracks, as well as the two felyne’s, he turned to face the following hunters, he bowed politely. “My name is Yokai, the pilot of the Aerial Transport. This fine man is Baryn, and she is Sydney.” The two lynians nodded and bowed before the hunters.

Baryn looked the group over, shaking his head, impressed by what he saw. “Howdy, folks.”

“Pleasure all mine.” Sydney spoke, again bowing politely to the pack.

Yokai put his hands behind his back, looking the group over. “This isn’t your run of the mill quest, gentlemen, and lady. We know there is a Great Baggi wreaking havoc among the mountain beasts that the guild and Loc Lac need for every day needs. Kill it, and do with it what you will. The problem is this, obviously there is something much more intimidating than a commonplace bird wyvern up there, but we can’t nail exactly what it is. In such an unstable environment we have no idea what it could be.”

“Lucky for you, new base site in place.” Sydney spoke, gleefully.

“Indeed.” The elder stated. “The guild recently outfitted a smaller cavern with almost everything one would need for a prolonged hunt. Modernized heating, taps of all sorts and some fairly advanced cooking utensils form Moga’s very own village chief.”

“Beds’re nice too.” Baryn stated.
“Certainly nicer than the guild’s standardized camp sites.” The elder replied. “But enough about all that, we need to be on our way. Times a wastin’.” Leading the group outside, they all witnessed a large airship composed of what looked like a small scale dragon boat, attached to an oblong dirigible fitted with pivoting fins, suitable for better guiding the craft. Both fully capable of carrying the hunters and supplies, it was a modern marvel in comparison to the guilds fully propelled hot air balloons.

“Therrre you guys are, nya!!” A dirty blonde colored felyne of common stature stated as he came off the ships deck. “We just got the ship loaded, you all ready, meow?”

“Certainly, nya.” Sidney answered politely.

“Ah, Sydney. You’ll be gracing us on this flight, myes?”

“Ever the squire, eh Ozzy?” Baryn stated, grinning beneath his furry whiskers.

Glaring snidely at Baryn, the felyne replied rather cynically. “Hello, Baryn.” Turning to face the group, he politely bowed to the entirety of the group and cheerfully spoke, whilst purring proudly. “The nyame’s Oswald, I’ll be the base tenant. I’ll be keeping the place livable for all of us.”*

As several members of the guild departed from the ship, they nodded to the hunters, wishing them well on their mission. Yokai boarded the airship and took the reigns. Clearing his throat he called out to the hunters. “All aboard!!”

Thus beginning what I hope to be an eventful and enjoyable mission for all of us. Thanks again for joining.

*OoC: In terms of Oswald, think on the lines of Seinfeld‘s. “Hello, Newman.”

Aizen was standing there stareing at the dirigible. "Why did it have to be airborne?" He drops his head picks up his pack and walks onto the craft. "I can already tell that this is going to be a long flight" he set his bag down in the front of the craft with his back faceing the front and got comfy.

OOC: he isnt a big fan of flying LOL

"Heh, I hear you." Jago added, following Aizen onto the airship. Uncaring where he sat (as long as it wasn't a seat near an edge), the Kut-Ku armored man removed the matching GreatSword from his back and took a seat, balancing the blade on his lap. The edge of the sword had a leather sheath on it, making it safe to do what he was.

Jago leaned back, closing his eyes and trying not to think about just how high up he would be in a minute or two.

"Alright flying time. This is going to be a good one." Cloud thought to himself. This was his time to shine, to prove he is not some kid that the guild needed just for show, oh no its his time. Yet this was all interupted when he tryed to walk into the cabon. "Hello everyone im..." he was interupted when his LS didnt fit threw the doorframe horizontly and fell on his butt. "Umm...I ment to do that. :D" He quickly gets up and gets his LS through and sits down on a chair and trys to relax.
Occ: Im so pumped!

Scout followed behind Cloud, nearly bumping into him when he fell. She reached the front of the cabin, and looked out into the sky. She sat, placing her LS on the ground. She flashed a quick smile to the rest of the group, sweeping some golden hair from her face. But, just as quickly, she turned her face back to the vast sky. "I hate the tundra so much," she announced, "it's so cold, I barely sleep thinking about it. Oh well, right?" she murmurred nervously, pulling at her ponytail. She sat upright, and slowly began to fall asleep.

Stepping onto the craft, Xereyeres Xexegen took in a long breath of air, smelling the various aromas that naturally occured when one put a multitude of proffesional mercenaries, murderers, hitmen, and killers onto a flying machine. He was well acquainted with the scent, and it brought back many memories of blood-soaked ventures, from steaming jungles that smelled like ass, to roasting volcanoes that were a pain in the ass. Yes indeed, Xereyreszy XXguns had seen it all. And he was ready to take on whatever might come his way!

"Whoa..." Another one of the assigned hunters said as the blimp-like aircraft gracefully descended to the ground, having never seen one quite like it before. As he followed the rest of the hunters onto the vessel he continued observing it, looking at in appreciation all of the things that made it different than normal. "Nya, quite the contraption, eh?" He asked the group in general, standing up on one of the seats and leaning on the edge of the vessel. "Haven't seen any of these anywhere else in Minegarde, nya."

He was a Lylian much like the other three accompanying the group, though of the Melynx race, shown by his generally black fur with white in the mix. He wore a gillie suit designed for snow camouflage which covered up most everything else on him. At his chest though he could be seen wearing Blango hide clothing and a whole lot of ammunition storage, including some bandoleers, an ammo belt and a lot of pockets. The only way to tell he was a Melynx was by his uncovered head, as his two hoods, one from his gillie suit and the other attached to the clothing beneath, were both back, and his goggles were up.

"Quite a contraption?" Aizen says sarcastically. "I dont see why people have to go so high up to travel when we were given 2 legs and creatures like popo and apotonoth to ride on." he says as he leans forward.

OOC: i myself am not afraid of hieghts just thought it would be fun to make him afraid of hieghts (mainly flying hieghts

Stepping outside of the Outpost, Andras’ hair blew in the brisk winds, an all to familiar feeling from living in the Furahiya mountains of Pokke. Taking a deep breath, the hunter exhaled, watching his breath dissipate in the near freezing air. A smile covered his face as he witnessed the marvel in front of him, sharing the Melynx’ enthusiasm he chuckled at his remark.

“They began work on these back in Loc Lac. With the city built on a canyon like protrusion in the Great Desert, they needed a reliable source for incoming and outgoing goods. They support a much larger load out than those existing balloon based crafts.”

Hearing the generally negative remarks about flying, Andras made his way on the deck of the ship, looking things over a bit. “It’s been a while since I’ve flown. The imagery from above is always a sight to behold.”

Making his way to the cabin, he found an empty station, leaving his supplies there, including his lance, shield and sword. The hunter also removed his blango hided cloak, laying it neatly on the seat. Looking around at the others in the cabin, he noticed a huntress attempting to fall asleep. Collecting his cloak, he approached her, and offered it to her for warmth. “I know you probably don’t want or need this, but at least I can offer it as a courtesy. I’m used to these conditions.”

"Yeah, technical marvels these are. Too bad I really can't enjoy them." Jago replied with a wry smile. "I appreciate the work that went into this thing, but...I've seen falls do terrible things to people."

He shuddered involuntarily, a messy memory coming to the surface. "Anywho, I just stay at the center and can't see over the sides, I'll be fine...I hope."

"Well lets see whats going on in there" Aizen said to himself leaveing his Longsword and supplies out on the front of the vessel. "Hello, I'm Aizen." he said after he got inside and saw Andras Scout and Cloud. Removeing his helmet his long crimson hair flowed naturally over his shoulders.(Sepheroth hair from Unite) "Wait i know you." he said removeing one of his gauntlets and extending his hand out to Andras. " Your name is Andras terras correct? Guild official from Pokke correct."

What if Andras ended up dying in the other RP? It just wouldn't make sense.)...(Not to tell anyone how to run their lives or anything...)

Scout smiled at Andras, and took the cloak. "Trust me, I do." she said gleefully, and quickly draped it around her shoulders. Smiling up at Andras in thanks, she contiued to glanced over at Jago and Aizen, laughing at their dismay over the flight. "I fly all the time, just hardly to these cold areas. I would rather fly for ten days than be trapped in the tundra for ten days, that's for sure!" she nudged to Andras, laughing a bit.

"Hello fellow hunters, huntress and beastly looking melynx. Nice weather we're having, right? (the icebreaker, lol) For now at least...wonder what the weather in the Tundra is gonna be like? Anyhow, I tried to introduce myself earlier... not my best entrance, sorry about that. :/ Anyhow, I'm Cloud. This is my first quest hunting with such an upper class group. I just want you all to know, I won't be in any of your all's way, or make any stupid moves. I assume I'm the youngest, so I definitely see this as a learning experience, getting to be with others for once."

Aizen looks at her "the cold doesnt bother me at all, and the reason flying bothers me is because of a dragon that dwells where i am from." Aizen explains "Amatsumatgatsuchi Takes vessels this size and bigger all the time" Aizen stood there with his hand still outstreched

Jago blinked when Aizen spoke.

"Uh, gesundheit. Anyway, weather in a tundra area? Cold, possibly dry...though it just might be a howling blizzard. We really can't know until we get there." The Kut-ku armored man responded. "I wouldn't worry too much about it. We'll find out when we get there...provided this thing doesn't fall out of the sky."

Cloud: "Wow that sounds insane! Please tell us more, this dragon sounds awesome! Can you explain what it does. Its an elder dragon of course but still!"

Aizen: "Amatsumatgatsuchi destroys them, most people have been killed but there are a few survivors whos vessels were still sturdy enough to make it to the ground without killing everyone aboard." Aizen explains. "A lot of people from my village dismiss the stories due to extreamly bad weather that happens along the flight line quite often." He pauses "I was one of those people. But i know better now." he says as he unfastens one side of his chestplate and reveals a scar running from below his waistline all the way up the side of his body to the armpit. "there was a very bad storm that flight Followed by a beam of water that shot down from straight above us. Then i can only remember wakeing up on the ground to clear skies and a large gash on the side of my body."

"Oof," Scout muttered, "sounds nasty. I heard about that a while ago, sounds serious. I don't doubt it's existence at all, really. I've seen some crazy stuff dwelling around the sky." she shivered a bit. "I myself have had some bad encounters with legends. Nasty creatures they are." she reassured, turning to the side and pushing the cloak aside, she lifted up part of the back of her Remobra top. There revealed a scar running up her back, exceeding where the top cut off. "Never piss off a Rathian that so happens to be gold." She sat straight again. "Definitely makes me anxious to see what's in this part of the tundra that's causing so many problems." she sighed and stared at the ground.

"Oh!" She looked over at Cloud. "Don't worry about your entrance, by the way. You'll have plenty of other chances to make up for it on this hunt, I'm sure." she laughed.

Not being a particular fan of flying or conversation, Merdoc was content to sit cross legged on the floor with his naginata in his lap. Though he made sure not so show it, he was slightly nervouse. The wide open plains of his home country were much different than high snow covered peaks. In his mind he went over the forms he had been taught as a child; he hoped they would be enough for this new unknown menace. Curious to know how long their journey would take, Merdoc spoke up.

"So how long does this trip take?" he asked no one in particular.

ooc: Oh and I know my origional post said tropical island but I decided to change that. Didn't think it would matter.

Grinning at the huntress' remark, Andras solemnly replied. "Lived in the cold damn near all my life, miss."

Taking Aizen's hand and shaking it firmly, he nodded. "Indeed I am Andras Terras, and I must apologize for I cannot place your face or name for the life of me. Pleasure to, well, remake your acquaintance my good fellow."

Releasing the hunter's hand he looked the group over once again, hearing what they had to say. "Amatsu has been terrorizing Yukumo for some time now I hear. However, I feel the biggest threat we could face from the Tundra, at least whilst entering it are Daora dragons. Strangely enough, reports say they primarily take refuge in the Pokke mountains, and the Jungle outside of Jumbo village. It's good though, taking things into consideration. Being a realist has it's benefits."

Overhearing Cloud's remark, Andras could not help but question the young man's statement. "To be wielding a blade crafted from Agnaktor claws, and a full set of Gigginox armor, I'd say you'll be fine for this hunt, but if you need assistance or advice I will be glad to help out."

"Should take about half a day, give or take a few." Andras called out to the inquiring hunter.

"It's nice to be with hunters that actually care you know, no one has ever really offered me any advice or help. I've always been on my own. Thanks Andras, I'll take you up on that offer." Replied Cloud, whilst looking at the floor. He then turned his attention towards the huntress. "I'll try to make up for my entrance, it will be tough but I will. I guess if we're gonna be here for a while, I don't need to take this sword everywhere I go. Andras, where did you put your weapon?"

Good grief. I'm not used to such activity on this site, or being the one who has to catch up.

"So, nya, you're Andras." The Melynx broke in as he approached the rest of the group on two legs, pointing at the Khezu adjourned man with flowing orange hair. "You're Cloud." He stopped walking and pointed to the hunter wearing Gigginox materials. "Nya, and I'm Sakujo." He then put his hand on his chest, referring to himself. "Just so we're all on the same page, nya, what's everyone else's names?"

Besides Andras and Cloud, I don't think anyone else has stated their name (I'm not sure how Cloud would have known the others : P). I may have missed some though.
This is just to get the introductions over with.

"So, Sakujo. What brings you here? I have always wanted to hunt with a melynx, you seem so well trained... With all your material's you obviously know what your doing. I just wanted to know your story."

"Nya, one sec. I'd like to get everyone's names first." Sakujo said, temporarily declining Cloud, more focused on the other hunters for his stated reason.

OOC: Who are you, and what the fuck have you done with the real SRK!? Seriously, those last two posts had no spelling errors.

Taking initiative, Xerey- oh fuck this I'm just calling him X-man from now on - answered; "My name is... much too long and difficult to pronounce, so for the sake of brevity, you can just call me X-man."

"M'names Merdoc..." The hunter spoke up. Then as an after thought he added. "Or Doc for short, either is fine with me."

"Oh! I feel so rude now!" Scout jumped up and quickly turned, facing everyone. She gave a formal bow. "I'm Scout Votriskova, from the north. I've traveled with a lot of groups, I just spaced introducing myself. Completely unintentional, I hope I didn't offend anyone." She laughed and gave a quick smile down at Sakujo.

OOC: i already introed myselft so i will do it again.

Looking at the felyne. "Names Starfall, Aizen Starfall" (Had to do it) He says as he refastens his armor. "Ranking official from the Yukumo guild." He yanks a small pendant off his neck. "Here take this, it was given to me by a close felyne friend of mine that died on a hunt for the barioth i am wearing right now. I think he would want you to have it." Offering the pendant to Sakujo

Looking over the quest sheet, Yokai cleared his throat and called out to the hunters from the bridge. “Quiet down for a moment folks, I need to do a roll call. Don’t want any strays chasin’ after us once airborne.” Looking the sheet over he began to call out the names of each person signed up for the mission. “So far I’ve got Andras, Aizen, Cloud, Sakujo, *pausing for a moment* X-man, Merdoc, and Scout. Looks like we got one more, and I count 8, so we can take off now.”

Baryn heaved the portside gangway gate shut, locking it securely. “Folks, there‘s plenty of rrroom in the hull if your interested in getting out of the weather. Got some cot’s down there both ferrr human and lynian’s. Take a load off, nya.”

Sydney pulled the doors open to the ships cabin. “Yes. Please, make selves at home.”

Oswald approached Cloud with his paws extended. “Please, sirrr. Allow me to take your weapon for you, meow.”

OoC: Basically this is to get all the names down for everyone, and explain the structure of the ship. You can remain on the deck, or head into the hull for some RnR.

Andras collected his supplies and weapons, and headed down into the hull to find a station to keep his wares. Looking the hull over, he was astounded by the sheer amount of supplies the ship could hold, and still have room for sleeping quarters. Finding a suitable cot, Andras placed all of his supplies under it in the provided racks. The hunter also gazed at the wall mounted racks for weaponry. Hanging his shield up on one of the available hooks, and placing his lance on the corresponding mounts, he nodded. “This’ll do just fine.” Satisfied with the accommodations, the hunter returned to the deck.

"Pleasure to make all of your acquaintances. If you didn't catch it before, I'm Andras. Most call me Andy back at home, so I'm used to either or. I hope to get to know each and every one of you on our voyage.”
