"Small World" - Whodunit RPG (First Attempt)

Sorry that things have been dragging recently. They should be picking up relatively soon.

Noise could be heard coming from one of the first floor rooms (northwest). A quick glance through the open door indicated it was the kitchen. Stanley was cooking it seemed, having an apron on. Multiple things were being prepared.

He gulped before answering Iskandar. "Right there, sir." He pointed to the room just south.

In the dining room was a large rectangular table, with chairs on all sides. Both were hefty, well crafted and polished, and the chairs had cushions on their seats and backs. Despite their weight, they slid smoothly across the carpet.

I forgot to put windows in the dining room. They should be there.

Inlaid woke up as he heard Iskandar leave the room, sitting up in bed and blinking the sleep out of his eyes. The smell of food dragged him to his feet and lured him in the direction of the kitchen.

Chitanya stretched herself awake. Getting up out of bed she neatened herself up and made her bed before grabbing her shoulder bag once again and heading downstairs towards the smell of food.

When she finds someone to ask, she will inquire as to where they would be breaking their fast.

John rolled over and slowly got out of bed. He jotted down a few notes in his notebook before tucking it away under his sleeve and following the others.

Latheron woke up with a yawn as he looked around the empty guest room. '...So much for being the early bird.' He thought with a chuckle.
He got out of bed and walked to the window, taking in nice breaths of fresh air as he observed the view.

Raydan awoke with a grunt, trying very hard to not fall asleep again.

"Jeez, thanks for waking me up," he said moodily, before heading to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth.

ooc: Dental hygiene, people! Brush your teeth!
Not sure if toothbrushes existed though.

@Kibagami: Based on this, it would seem dental hygiene stuff has been around for awhile, albeit not exactly what we have today.
I'll assume you went to the upstairs bathroom.

"GREG!!!" Stanley could be heard screaming throughout the entire island.

Rayden was the first to rush into the master bedroom, having started on the stairs.
Latheron was close behind, coming from the guestroom.
Everyone else arrived moments afterward.

The food tray Stanley was carrying was spilled all over the carpet floor partway between the door and the bed.
Stanley was on his knees beside the bed and the elderly Mr. Anderson, face torn with tears running down his cheeks, lips trembling. He held his hands up as if to touch Mr. Anderson, but unable to.

Mr. Anderson, an older man, was on the west side of the bed, clearly dead. It looked like someone clubbed him to death, as several large and bloody bruises were on his head and face.

*Claps hands together* And so it finally begins.
Forgive me for botting your characters the way I did, I assumed it was the way everyone would act. You can assume whatever you were doing was interrupted.

Now it is important that you keep character's inner thoughts to a minimum, if not taken out completely. This is because I don't want these inner thoughts giving away character's innocence.
For example, something like "Joey wondered who could do such a thing" is what I don't want, or "Joey was determined to find out did this. He thought Bob did it," or I know that bastard did it... There probably shouldn't be any italics text.

"W-What?!" Raydan stammered, taking a step back. Sweat began rolling down his face, but he forced himself to stay calm and looked around for any suspicious objects that might have been used as the murder weapon.

Latheron muttered something to himself as he looked over the scene, the true shock clear on his face, but also a memory seemed to distort his face as well.
Shaking his head, Latheron quickly left the room.

With a look of deep sadness in her eyes, Chitanya walked over to the side of the bed where Mr. Anderson was. She bowed her head in reverence for the man and then gently closed his eyes and covered him with the bed coverings.

She then made her way over to Stanley. "Is there anything we can do for you?" She asks him with compassion in her voice.

John moved over to the body, uncovering it, and tested the movement of the limbs before he said to the others, "Relax, I'm a doctor."

Bear in mind that your spoilers may be being watched by others, so if there's information you want to keep secret, PM it instead.

Regarding searching for clues, I would say to specify where you're looking and what you're looking for. For example, the bed covers for any footprints.
Doing multiple things in one post, like searching the bed covers and then the floor, would be fine.
I may end up throwing information at you that was not what you were looking for. In the above example, maybe there's footprints but also some letters written in blood.
I understand sometimes you might have to be more general, like "look through the nightstand" or "check his head," sort of as a beginning to more specific things.

Hopefully that makes some kind of sense.
