Holgarde - Day One: Cleansing

Upon closer inspection, Edo's equipment still seemed to be in order. Something just felt off though.

"Pa, someone's here!" A girl's voice called from down the hall (around a bend).
The presumable owner of the voice came into view, a teenage girl, and said, "He'll be right with ya."

Footsteps down a staircase were heard, and a middle aged (give or take forty) man made his way behind the counter. "Hello there, hunter's lodgin' too full?" He greeted and joked. "What can I do for ya?"

"Alright. I'll leave the stuff here then." The doctor said, letting Cyra go off to attend to herself.
When she returned, he had some disinfectant, gauze pads and rolls and butterfly bandages all ready.
He disinfected her abdomen wound first, placed some pads then wrapped her torso, making a tight fit. He then disinfected her cheek and applied the bandages. After a few minutes, he said, "Alright, you're all set."

Anyone have any idea if its good or bad to pick at your cuts? Like dried up blood and scabs.

ooc: It is bad to pick at scabs and such as you can reopen a wound doing so, you are supposed to either let the scab fall off by itself or soak off any dried blood with warm wet clothes. Hope that helps.

Cyra turned to the doctor when he was done, "Thank you very much for your help. When should I change them again?"

"Oh, and by the way, do you know where I might go to get something to eat?" she asks him.

ooc: Also like Star has said it's not a good idea, but it's hard not too and really doesn't cause any harm other than elongating the time the wound remains.

"Dunno, didn't bother to check, nya." Totoro said, "Just one room please."

"Alright, how long?" The man at the desk asked. He motioned subtly to a sign of wages on the desk in case Totoro hadn't seen it. It offered different room sizes and different lengths of time (one through seven days). Buying in larger amounts was more efficient.

"If they feel wet, change them before you go to bed. Otherwise, the morning should do fine." The doctor advised regarding when to change the bandages (probably for the stomach rather than the cheek).

"They're giving out, and even cooking, food by the guild storage building. Rations mostly, I believe."

Ok, Thank you." Crya says to the doctor. "Should I come back here in the morning then or just change them myself?"

When finished with the doctor, Crya will head over to the guild storage for food, what they will be cooking will be fine for her to eat, as tonight she is only eating out of necessity.

Edo took out his gun's barrel, checking it closely, examining his string as closely as he can, then examined his stock, and his frame. After that, he examined his bow very closely, picking at the string and pulling a little to make sure they're alright. He didn't bother with his sword, as he rarely uses it.

"Start with two days, nya." Totoro said after a moment of thought, "Not sure exactly how long I'm going to be in town now that the monster threat is over."

"If we're not here, go to the hospital. It's south of here." Cyra recalled seeing the hospital on her patrol to the arena.

Outside, west of the complex, were some cooking fires, some burning fully and others just beginning to come to life. Cooking utensils like large pots and pans, spits, etc. were in use.
There was just a pile of ration packages that people were searching through and taking from. Some cooking implements were in a pile as well.
The vast majority of those present were monster hunters, going by their builds.

David was present, unequipped, as was Tyler elsewhere.
The green Felyne was around too, still fully geared.

Edo realized/remember that his bowgun took minor damage when he tossed it down during the fight. It might have been nothing, but he'd probably want to sight it in and get it checked just to make sure it was in working order.

Other than that, as far as he could tell, everything seemed to be in order.

"Alright, name please?" The man said as he started to write things down.

(Assuming Totoro states his name and gives the appropriate money.)

"Alright, here ya go, room 109, down that hall on your left." The man said after finishing writing things down, handing Totoro a key.

@Blaster: I honestly forget what exactly happened, but I vaguely remember you throwing at least your bowgun off of either the tower or the building.
By sighting it in, I mean that the sights may have be adjusted from the fall, making the bowgun not shoot exactly where you want it (might shoot off to the right, for example). Note that this within its accuracy range (after a certain range no amount of sighting in will help).
There would be a shooting range somewhere in the town.
The smith would be the guy to see to make sure everything else is okay.

"Thank you very much, nya." Totoro said before heading to his room.

"Thank you, I will." Cyra said to the doctor.

She sees David when she arrives to get something to eat and she joins him. "Hi there, mind if I join you?" she asks him.

ooc: I threw EVERYTHING off the building, including Edo. :-P


Edo let out a sigh of relief, then equiped himself. He was not going to let that cat get to his equipment again. He made sure everything was on, his ammo belt around his waist, his bowgun on his right shoulder. his sword and his left hip, his bow over his left shoulder, and his quiver on his back. When he was done, he made his way out of the lodging, keeping a keen eye out for 'that cat'. He went searching for a place to eat, as Edo hasn't eaten all day.

After he left the building (with no sign of Jordan), Edo saw multiple smoke trails in the sky to the west, right next to the complex. He assumed cooking fires were present in that direction.

As expected, west of the complex, were some cooking fires, some burning fully and others just beginning to come to life. Cooking utensils like large pots and pans, spits, etc. were in use.

David gave Cyra the okay sign with his hand, having food in his mouth at the moment.
Tyler made his way over to the familiar Metke hunters, greeting with a nod and a, "Hey."

Totoro's room was like any other modest inn. It was a single room that wasn't too large.
There was a (human sized) bed all sorts of bedding (more than any one person would probably need), including different kinds of blankets and pillows.
Some other furniture was present, namely a table, desk, chair and cabinet.
A pair of curtains were pulled back from the single window, one white and thin like a sheet, the other meant to block light.
Some candles, candle holders and matches were there.
There was duct overhead, suggesting the building was heated.
Totoro saw a door labeled bathroom on his way through the hall.

"Hello, nya." Edo greeted the three hunters. "Have you seen that **** cat, Jordan, nya? I need to go cut off his head, nya." Edo said, though he made it sound like he was joking. "While I was sleeping, nya, he dropped my arrow on me with a note that said, 'Jordan the Melynx'. I'm reallt getting tired of that **** cat, nya."

Satisfied with his room, Totoro made his way to the bed and fell asleep as soon as he laid down.

"Thank you," Cyra says to David as she sits down.

"Hi there," she greets Tyler.

"Edo," Crya said with a stern voice, "behave yourself, hasn't there been enough violence already. Why don't you sit and eat."

Edo started trembling again. "S-sure." Edo said, not wanting to get on Cyra's nerves again.

Tyler was about to inquire about this 'Jordan' person, but was interrupted.
"Hello, nya." A familiar voice greeted. Jordan suddenly appeared from almost right behind David (probably having heard everything that was said before). He strolled into plain view, eating from a ration can of fish, chewing with his usual smile. "Weedfish anyone? Courtesy of Rulbo." He offered politely to anyone.

Weedfish was a type of fish that looked like an underwater plant (fake roots and such) in order to blend in. They also primarily ate aquatic plants (sometimes taking bites out of one another). Because they often times were near the surface, they were fairly easy to catch (treated as a game by many).

Cyra just ignored Jordan.

Turning to David and Tyler she asks, "Did you guys find a room for the night ok?"

Edo snarled at Jordan. "Why pick on me, nyargh?! What id I ever do to you, nyargh!?"

"Yeah, I got a room in the hunter's lodging." Tyler pointed at said building.
David nodded and likewise pointed at the building.
Both hunters seemed to have their attention split between Cyra and the Lynians.

"Pick on you?" Jordan asked, expression unchanged. "I try my best to treat everyone the same, nya." He picked out another piece of fish and started eating it.

Cyra smiled at David and Tyler, "Well, that is good. I am staying there myself."

Turning to Edo, "Edo! I told you to settle down," she says to him in a very stern voice. "We are trying to eat here, if you feel you have to fight, then take it elsewhere."

Edo completely ignored Cyra as he kept his attention on Jordan. Most would think he didn't even hear Cyra. "Then why are you picking on me, nyargh, if you treat everyone the same, nyargh!?" Edo snarled at Jordan.

Jordan shrugged. "You provide the most amusing reactions, nya. Cyra here will just get huffy and ignore me, nya." He put his hand to one side of his mouth.

Edo's snarling had drawn some looks from those nearby, including that of the green Felyne.

Cyra just smiled at Jordan and turned her attention back to Tyler and David. She wasn't going to worry about Edo anymore, the day had been too long and hard to get worked up over this.

"So, do you guys have a lot of roommates for the night, it is really busy in the Hunters Lodging tonight."

Edo continued snarling at Jordan. "Nyargh! Next trick you pull on me, nyargh, and I'll come for your head, nyargh!" Edo snarled fiercely.

"Shut up!" The green Felyne shouted from the distance.
Tyler was confused, and David seemed to be ignoring the argument.

"Just one, but its a one person room." Tyler replied to Cyra.
"Eight total in a four person room." David said after.

"Okey-dokey, nya, Mr. easy-to-provoke."

Cyra nodded at David and Tyler and just kept ignoring the felynes.

"I wonder how long it will be so crowded?" she asks her companions more to just keep some sort of conversation going, she doesn't mind having roommates at all.

Edo would have ignored the green felyne, but he didn't feel like fighting him today. He gave one last snarl at Jordan, then went off to go get something to eat.

Jordan joined himself into the Metke conversation, still eating his food.

"Probably awhile. More hunters will be coming in with more supplies." David said.
"Yeah." Tyler agreed.

"I almost feel bad for the ones running the lodging." Cyra replied. "Where are they going to put more?"

"No matter how crowded it gets, this town needs all the help it can get."
