"Huh! If I wer' 'round 'e would'a be'n all mine!" The green Felyne retorted. "'Ow many were ya? Ten, twelve, thirteen?"

David looked over at the green Felyne and noted him, but disregarded him after. He seemed more interested in the heavily armored white hunter that passed into the gathering hall.
Elram had proceeded into the hunter's lodging when the new crowd of people arrived.

"I was one of the hunters as well," Crya said to the rather rude felyne, "and there were only six of us." she informed him as well.

Not liking his tone, she turned her attention the the new crowd that had just arrived.

"What? That's bull! 'Ow many ov'ya died then?"

"Seven including the gunner." David said to Cyra, having overheard what she said.

The crowd had been brought into the hunter's lodging building, and Elram went inside as well.

So full of pride for one so small, Chirozay thought, chuckling on the inside. "To my knowledge, none died, although there were minor injuries."

ooc:
I had forgotten about nya'ing.

As a reminder, Wells and Totoro would be familiar with this green Felyne.

As a clarification, you guys would be medium rank hunters.
Low rank would rarely fight large monsters like Yian Kut Ku.
Medium rank would fight larger monsters, but not really large ones like Rathalos.
High rank generally fight the really big things.

Naturally, hunters often hunt "beneath" their rank when they have nothing at their rank to do. This is very much the case with high rank hunters, because very large monsters aren't common.
If needed, hunters might hunt above their rank (like just now). Specific reasons vary, but usually it's a necessity.

Before anyone asks, I'm not really sure how rank would be determined. Just saying its how much stuff you've killed, or what you've killed, seems too basic.

-

"Who was he?" David asked, almost skeptically.
Cyra thought she saw the big, loud heavy-bowgunner go into the hunter's lodging building.

The green Felyne listened to Chizoray's answer, then let out a grunt of disgust. He then listened to Totoro's mockery, recognizing the similar styled Felyne hunter. "I already got 'nough glor'ay, ny'an' yer still'a long way frem bein' an'were close t' near me!"

-

Just to put things into perspective, you're probably not that far beneath him. He's exaggerating.

-

"Sorry I got shit t'a brag 'bout! Cuz I brought this bastah'd in in the first place an' killed a lot mor' like em!" The green Felyne argued back with Chizoray.

When his view snapped over to Wells, his eyes quickly keyed in on the large hole in Well's shield. "Where'ya think I been? I been bringen people in fr'm oth'a pah'ts of'the town! That's the onlay reason I wun't here fer the fight!"

This character is a little more extreme than I thought he would be, but no matter.
Obviously, it's nothing personal (except maybe with Rekee). Also, if it ever becomes too much, let me know and I can tone it down.

Post by Guest Fri Nov 18, 2011 12:08 pm

Well, Crya thought she had better excuse herself before this rude little felyne brings out the worst of her nature. She is normally very sweet tempered, but when riled she gets as bad as her brothers are. She chuckles to herself at the memory. It has been such a good day so far,she isn't going to let this little fur ball ruin it for her.

Seeing the heavy-bowgunner go into the lodge building where everyone else went, she decides to follow. She knows he is a nice guy.

"If you will excuse me please," Cyra says to the group before departing for the lodge.

ooc:
@Rekee: Was that grammar mistake intentional?

-

Cyra entered the lobby room of the hunter's lodging. It wasn't very large, just having the front desk, some furniture, a table and a wooden chandelier hanging overhead.
Behind the counter was another room, and there was a hallway on each side leading to other rooms.

The place smelled heavily of body odor, probably because people had been holed up in the building for at least three days now without bathing.
There was piles of supplies in the lobby, though it seemed like much of it had been brought to other rooms.

The crowd that just arrived was being distributed among the first floor rooms. Elram was acting like a director, telling people where they should go and that food would be brought soon. Hunters (not a whole, maybe four) were opening up supplies and bringing the food into the rooms. The heavy bowgun hunter from before was breaking open a box with his hunter's knife.

It occurred to Cyra that the hunter's lodging could very well be crammed full of hunter's tonight, since each town sent a handful of hunters.
Some tiding up was going to need to be done before then.

~

"The monst'ah smith, if ah'n'where cah'n." The green Felyne said to Wells, still seeming ticked off but not expressing it currently.

"Yeah, an' som' ah'mo while'ya at it." He said after Totoro.

-
ooc:
The monster smith would refer to the smith that deals with monster hunter equipment. There's usually only one to a town.
There would be other smiths that deal with more civilian needs. The two types may cross over sometimes though.

Just as a reminder, the town's smiths (and many other things) probably aren't going to be operational for at least a day, since the town has just begun recovering and getting back to normal.
Something you could do is, when the hunters began escorting people back to their homes, you try to go where the monster smith is.

On a side note, full Rathalos armor with the spear and shield is probably possible. (I say probably in case I change my mind later.) There should be quite a lot of materials to go around.

Cyra wrinkled her nose at the odor of the lodge and the disarray of it all. There was a lot that needed to be done to make it comfortable for all of the hunters that would be staying here. She figured she might as well get started.

Walking over to the heavy-bow gun hunter, Cyra smiles at him once she got his attention, "Hi there," she greets, "maybe you can help me. There is a lot to be done to tidy this place up for all of the hunters who will be staying here. First, do you think it safe now to get some air in here, and is there anyone who can help me get these supplies where they need to be and out of the way, and I will need some cleaning supplies and anyone who is willing to help."

She ends with a bright smile, for she knows she has just asked a lot and doesn't want to seem overbearing.

The big hunter continued to rip apart the crate as Cyra spoke, still paying attention to her, luckily finishing before she was done.

"The windows were all open before the fight, and I think just about all of them were opened again after." He began to respond, not exactly teeming smiles but polite nonetheless. "Everyone being out now should help air it out though. We were gonna move the supplies into the warehouse once the group that just came in is tended to. As for cleaning supplies, the staff here probably has some stuff, though I'm not sure where the manager is at the moment."

-
ooc:
Remember that there's three main buildings in this complex. The gathering hall, the hunter's lodging, and the warehouse.
The warehouse stores things like quest wagons, quest supplies, and probably lots of other stuff.
Currently the observation balloon is crashed partway through the roof.

Cyra gives the hunter another smile, "Thank you so much for your help."

Knowing how busy the manager will be with the new arrivals, she sets off to the warehouse, grabbing a couple of low rank hunters to help her if she can.

On her way there she is making a mental list of the supplies she is going to need, for starters she will need buckets, mops, rags, floor cleaner, and some type of surface cleaner as well, brooms, fresh bedding, and some kind of empty box that she can put any trash into.

It may be a daunting job, be she is determined to make the lodge comfortable for all the hunters that are here to help the city.

After finally finishing his weapon maitnence, seeing the extremely rude felyne he looked at it in major disgust. He went down the building, grabbing his sword and shield but leaving his ranged weapons there for later purposes. Sheathing his sword and shield, he climbs on the dead los, going over to the rude felyne. "Excuse me, nya! Is THIS how you treat the saviors of this town?! Why, nya, if we weren't here, this town might of taken much longer to recover, nya! I'd like to see YOU take out a los by yourself, nya!" Edo started. "We worked hard to slay this thing, nya! And not a single person died, nya! Now put a cork in your stupid cocky mouth and go brag somewhere else."

"I could'a killed this bah'stah'd just as well as any'a ya could, bet'a than! N'ya lot were just luckay t' 'ave the chance t' be here when 'e came, an' I wuz busy in oth'a plah'ces!" The green Felyne argued back with Edo.

~

Cyra saw various kinds of supplies within the large warehouse. Quest wagons and quest supply chests were quick to be spotted, as were various crates of what were probably rations or other quest supplies.
Many of the crates had been opened up, emptied of their contents and put into a pile. Chances were that the people had been living off of what was inside the warehouse during the three days.

Thunderbug lanterns hung throughout the ceiling, though currently most were dim (tapping on one would bring it to life). Thunderbugs were often used instead of fire for lanterns because there was virtually no threat of burning. They were more expensive though.

Some trap doors were among the ceiling, probably meant for lowering or raising supplies from or to the upper floor, which was probably more of the same of the first.

Cyra didn't see anyone inside the warehouse, and didn't know where to start to look for the supplies she desired.
The monster hunter supply shed may not have been the place to find cleaning supplies either.

A large civilian man (probably physical laborer) came into the warehouse carrying some supplies. He seemed to be bringing them somewhere specific.

-
ooc:
@Star: Sorry that I'm making such a simple objective difficult. I'm just kind of going with what I think the set up would be.
You'll probably find the cleaning supplies (and other things you wanted) inside the hunter's lodging itself. It's like how in a hotel (or in), they have those big carts with towels and cleaning supplies and all that stuff.
There's probably a supplies closet somewhere.

Not the least bit discouraged by not finding what she needed, Cyra heads back to the lodging, more determined now than ever that she is going to get this done.

Once back in the lodge, Cyra will look for someone that can direct her to the cleaning supplies, and if no one is available, she will just start looking around herself.

-----

ooc: @DB: No worries I am tenacious I will see the job done. It kinda makes it more fun to have me running around looking for things, because I imagine the town would be in disarray right now. :-)

ooc:
Just for the record, the front door of the hunter's lodging (and the lobby) would be to the east (closest to the Rathalos).
Naturally, there would be multiple exits (I'm not sure how Cyra would have gone to the warehouse).

At some point I'll probably draw up a map of the directions of the gathering hall complex buildings, but probably not any time soon (I don't see any real need at the moment).

-

Elram was still in the lobby.

(Assuming Cyra inquired about cleaning supplies.)

"There's a supply closet down the hall." He directed, pointing down one of the hallways. "It has "storage" printed on it, so you'll see it."

"You plan on cleaning the place up, nya?" A Melynx asked Cyra from the ground, smiling widely.

No more of the group of people that arrived were in the lobby.
Large men, either civilian or hunter, were taking supplies towards the warehouse.

-
ooc:
As an offhand reminder (that will probably become relevant soon), the lodging it two stories.
Also, you could expect some kind of lift (for getting those supply carts upstairs).

A heads up; starting now for a little bit, I probably won't be posting as much because I've got a fair amount of school work that I really need to get cracking on.
I'll still probably check in a few times day, but yeah. I'm not sure how long this'll last, but expect at least a few days.
This applies to other RPG's as well.

Cyra smiled down at the Melynx, "Yes, I do. You wouldn't by chance want to help me would you or know of anyone else who could?"

She smiles as she sets off down to the supply closet. She might as well whistle while she works.

Deciding that she will head upstairs and work her way down, she grabs one of the supply carts, makes sure it has everything on it she needs and heads for the lift.

This place is going to shine she says to herself with a smile.

I forgot to mention that this Melynx would be middle aged.

Also, It occurred to me that I didn't think of how this lift would work exactly.
I'm not gonna bother thinking something up now.

-

"N'ya wanna take this elsewher?" The green Felyne challenged Edo, leaning imposingly forward.

~

"Sure, nya. I'd love to make myself useful." The Melynx said following Cyra, smiling wide as ever. "You're Cyra, correct?" He inquired.

(Assuming Cyra confirms.)

"I'm Jordan, nya. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

The two passed the lift on the way to the supply closet.

They found a couple of supply carts in the storage closet, among other things, some of which Cyra put onto the cart. Bedding was the only thing she couldn't find, probably used already.
Jordan perched himself up onto the cart as Cyra pushed it, looking through the supplies on it.

After going upstairs, the two came to a room with a massive explosive mark on the ceiling, and numerous other scorch marks on the floor nearby. A burnt blanket was on the floor as well.
General furniture like a bed, cabinet, table and desk (and some other stuff) were around. A whole bunch of blankets and pillows were on the floor as well, like many people had been sleeping there.
-
ooc:
My description with the lodging rooms was very sparse. I'll probably throw together something better later on (when I'm not as busy).

I bet something is familiar to Rekee and Blaster.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Jordan," Crya smiles at the melynx. She is glad for the company, but is not going to let him do too much.

Coming to the room with all the scorch marks Crya realizes this is a good a place as any to start.

She gathers up the burnt blanket and puts it into a discard pile.

Gathering up the other bedding that is on the floor she asks Jordan, "Do you know if there is any fresh bedding around and if not where we can wash the bedding already here?"

After gathering the bedding and setting it aside for now, Cyra sets to cleaning the room, she first wipes all the furniture down with a rag and cleaner, the sweeps up the floor, and gets a mop and bucket with cleaner ready and starts to scrub the floor, trying her best to get the scorch marks out. She knows she can't reach the ceiling and feels bad about that.

Satisfied that she has done all she can in this room, she puts the bedding on the cart and continues on.

"Ready" she smiles to Jordan. Waiting for him to get back on the cart.

The green Felyne gave Edo a strange look as the tan Felyne ran off and climbed onto the roof of the hunter's lodging building.

Seeing what Edo intended to do, the green Felyne hopped down from the Rathalos and casually walked towards the hunter's lodging. holding his two pickaxes in hand. Currently he was still among the crowd of people.

"Edo, stop this! It's not worth it!" David called out to the sniping Felyne, having overheard what was going on.

~

"All the bedding has been used, nya, but this place has a washroom." Jordan replied to Cyra's question.

Cyra's stomach still bothered her every time she moved it, which was often.

"Edo, stop this! It's not worth it!" She heard David's voice calling loudly from outside.
"Oh my, what's going on out there?" Jordan wondered, though still smiling wide.

Cyra went to the window and looked out to where she heard David's voice.

"Is everything all right?" she calls down, "Is there anything I can do to help you?"

She then turns to Jordan, "Do you know of anyone who can keep tidying up here, I should get outside to see if I can help."

Plus she is feeling the pull in her stitches and does not want to reopen them. She brings her arm up and hold it against her stomach for a moment. I really bothers her that she has this weakness right now. She wants to be doing things.
