Holgarde - Day One: Cleansing

"Thank you for being so helpful, Jordan. I will head that way later. I know that everyone is trying to put things back together and I don't want to bother them just yet." she says to him with a big smile.

"So you have any good tidbits you can share with me while I wait to see what else there is to do, you remind me of home."

"Well, the monster smith would be the place to go to have a bowgun of your own made. I presume the owner will be seeking you six out to figure out what's to be done with the Azure Rathalos."

"I'm going to go find Elram." David said before leaving into one of the hallways.

"Nya, giving me Felvine is always a good for you. Helps with digestion." Jordan continued to joke, maintaining his usual expression.

ooc: @DB: You do know that me and Edo are both suspicious of Jordan, right? I still think he was the bad guy in Felyne's Envoy.

Edo nodded. "Thank you, nya." Edo said. He set of, and noticed David. "What are you looking for, nya?" Edo asked him.

"Ok," Cyra calls after David, " let me know if he needs anything ok?"

Turning back to Jordan, Cyra was laughing once again, "I will remember that, where pray tell can I get you some?" she smiles at him.

He very well could be (or have been) the villain, but he very easily could not be (or not have been) the villain as well. You'll have to wait and see.

Rekee knows a little more than I'd like (if he remembers a conversation we had), but I suppose the same reasoning applies.

"Elram, to let him know what happened." David answered Edo.
Edo could guess that he wasn't just referring to the south section being clear.

"There's probably a market stand you could raid. I'm sure no one would notice you now, nya."

"He's right in there, nya." Edo said to David. After, he continued out.
He kept an eye on David, and when he went into Elram's room, Edo quietly snuck up, hiding next to the door, curious as to what David had to say.

"Jordan, shame on you," Crya scolded him. " I will get you some felvine, but I will be paying for it, haven't the people of this town been through enough without having there wares stolen as well. I am just shocked. And here I thought how sweet you were."

"I know, you were just teasing me again weren't you" Cyra said with a smile, giving him a way out.

@Blaster: Clarification; The building's lift would be in the hallway (off to the side, but in plain view).
Elram would be standing in the hallway near the lift.
Rooms nearby would be open, but you'd probably be spotted if you were trying to sneak around.

Assuming the information gets to the guild, probably not a whole lot will happen. They might ask you some questions, maybe a fine, or maybe nothing (because climbing the ladder probably isn't that big of a deal (going into the dungeon would have been)).
That is, assuming you don't butcher the situation and make yourself look like a criminal.

@Star: This is when Jordan's more sadistic/annoying nature comes to light.

Jordan maintained his wide smile throughout Cyra's harsh lecture. "... Eh, not really, nya." He responded to her last question.

Well Cyra gave him a chance to save himself, but the stupid felyne did not take it.

With a frown on her face, Cyra just turns and walks away from Jordan, it is not even worth losing her temper over.

Cyra heads in the direction that she saw David go in and she saw Edo sneaking around.

"Hey Edo," Cyra calls out, "What are you doing?"

"NYAAAA!!!!!!!" Edo lept all the way to the cieling (exaggeration) then came back down. He was trembling extremely badly. "H-hello Cyra, n-nya." Edo greeted Cyra. "I-I was just heading o-out to the smithy, n-nya."

"Very much. Thanks."

Three Well strode into the smith's. "Hello? Anyone here? I have equipment needing repair."

"Well if you are going to the smithy, mind if I tag along with you?" Cyra asks Edo.

"I wasn't going to bother them yet, but if you are going, I could go with you. It is probably better to not go alone just yet."

"Just let me check in with Elram real quick and make sure nothing is needed. Stay here, Ok." Cyra tells him and heads off to wait to speak with Elram, after David is done.

(Southeast)

No one was inside the lobby of the monster smith. It didn't seem like anyone was in the building at all. No one had been in the neighboring area either.

Some bowgun shells were on the floor by the windows.

"I'll let them know that." Cyra overheard Elram say as he approached, whose attention turned to her after. "What can I do for you?"

(Assuming she asks the question.)

"Once all of the hunting parties are back, we're going to start escorting people back to their homes. They should be back relatively soon."

@Everyone: As another reminder (I've said this a few times now), the smith probably will not open today. This is because the people who work there have fled to a better location (like much of the town has to the gathering hall area), and/or have more important things than their job at the moment (family).

Cyra smiles at Elram, "Ok, that sounds good. I will be here waiting to help when the time comes." she tells him.

(Assuming that Edo waited for her)

"We are not going to bother the smithy today," she tells Edo, "We are going to wait here until it is time to start escorting the people back to there homes, which will most likely be soon."

"Alright, nya." Edo said in response to Cyra. Edo went to the roof of the guild, and took out his gun and bow. He then started maintaining them. Edo was starting to get a little bored.

"Odd. Elram said we'd find the smith here. He don't seem the type to overlook such things."

@Everyone: Expect my activity to be less than usual for a little while (I might, probably, hopefully mean this more than last time). Probably for a few (two to three) weeks, with projects and finals coming.
I'll probably end up doing my runs (go through all the RPG's, like now) once a day sort of, with maybe a little more.

The hunter's lodging building was crowded with people, which lead to the inside of the building being rather loud. The stench of body odor was prevalent again, despite the earlier airing out and the windows currently being open.
People were helping putting stuff away, much of which was brought to the guild warehouse. Everyone was getting ready to return home after holding out.

"I'll be outside." David told Cyra before going for the stairs, weaving his way through the crowd.

From the roof, Edo saw that a few other groups had returned from their patrols.
Multiple supply wagons (with large herbivores pulling them) were present on the west side of the gathering hall complex (opposite the Azure Rathalos). Also, a few free running Aptonoth were there, looking famished. Neither were present when the south group returned, so chances were the other groups had brought them in.
Among the hunters that returned, the White Monoblos shield bearer (whom Edo recognized from Donoto) stood out, headed for the hunter's lodging.

With nothing left to do inside and the crowd of people and noise level increasing, Cyra decided to follow David outside for some fresh air. Who knows maybe she can find something to do, or maybe she should just sit for a minute and let her stitches rest for a bit before starting to escort everyone back to their homes.

ooc: Edo wouldn't have his armor on right now, just so you know.



When Edo saw Ortay, his ears perked up. It has been a while since he last quested with him.

Edo put his weapons aside, then went down to Ortay.

"Hey Ortay, nya." Edo greeted him.

"That he did, nya." Totoro said as he followed Wells into the shop, "But there's always tomorrow."

Generally multiple people work at a monster smith.

@Blaster: Just for future reference, where is the armor? On the roof?

Still nothing happened at the smith, even with the two hunters conversing.

Cyra and David noticed that other hunting groups were arriving (see earlier post).
David took another big swig of his cool drink. He took a look inside to see how much he had left, though he had a whole other canteen.

"Oh, hello, Edo." Ortay greeted friendly to Edo, stopping to converse with him. "I saw that you and Chizoray helped slay the Azure Rathalos." His face was almost completely concealed by his helmet (plus goggles underneath), but one could almost tell he was smiling.

Cyra just stayed with David in companionable silence as they watched the happenings around them.

"You're right, Kuhn. Maybe later."

Three Wells went back to the street outside. He looked for the airship and Felric.

"... Any plans for what you'll do with the Azure materials?" David asked Cyra, trying to start up a conversation.

The airship had gotten ahead of the two hunters, further southeast by a few building lengths. No flares or anything had been shot out.

Felric couldn't be seen, but one could presume he was even further southeast. That was the direction he ran off before the two other hunters entered the smith.

Based on prior knowledge of the town's layout, they knew they would be arriving at one of the town's livestock fields.

"I guess I haven't really given it much thought, I guess it depends on how much there is when all the hunters get some. I need to fix my armor, but I doubt there will be enough for armor. So I guess I will wait and see. How about you?" Crya replies to David.

"Well, nya, I didn't really do much, nya..." Edo said, "I more just annoyed it with my bullets, nya." Edo said, being very modest.

"If we're going to find any 'prey this would be the place, nya." Totoro said as they walked towards the fields, "A food supply would probably draw them in."

@Everyone: Just so you know, you'll each be getting equal shares of the Azure Rathalos materials, as is standard procedure.
Who exactly gets what (like webbing, leg hide, shell, etc.) usually depends on who wants what equipment made.
Some of you (Felyne) are likely to have some materials left over from your share.
You could give each other materials if needed, but bear in mind they are VERY valuable (your characters all seem like nice people, but would they donate thousands of dollars to each other?). Selling materials to other hunters is common.

Just stuff to keep in mind. When the monster smith talks with you all, it will all likely be sorted out.
On a side note, you are not at all restricted to in-game equipment. You could have Rathalos armor very different from in-game.

David looked at the Azure Rathalos skeptically when Cyra thought there wouldn't be enough materials for armor.

"Fire elemental weapons at least, to tear up the snow mountain monsters." He started with his plans. "Maybe a little more armor, built into this." He rubbed and looked at his forearm.

"Well, that's the role of a Felyne gunner often times." Ortay comforted. "It just might not have been a situation that suited your strengths."

As the scouting party neared the ranch, the airship started to turn to the side to make a turn around. After going one way some, it turned the other, making more of a circle than a U, giving it a larger scan of the area while turning around.

The hunters on the ground eventually arrived at a very long fence, simply made of wooden stakes in the ground with more stakes going across. Something the two Rulbo hunters were probably familiar with, something just enough to keep livestock from wandering.

Built into the fence were some farm buildings of various kinds. Past the fence was a large open field of grazing grass, enclosed from the wild by a much taller fence that was the town border (beyond the town fence was crop farming).

There were only some devoured Aptonoth in the field, less than what should have been in the field. The rest probably escaped, seeing as multiple parts of the inner fence were broken down.

Felric was seen going through the farm buildings in one direction. He hadn't made any announcements of 'Prey presence, nor had the airship.

As I said to the other group, it's not impossible that there's no 'Prey remaining (in your area, or town as a whole).

I'm feel stupid playing a violin for myself, but shit has really hit the fan. I think I'm really gonna need to not do any RPG stuff until all my work is done. I can't really give a set time on when that'll be, though I could estimate maybe a week from now, or three weeks max (that's when winter break starts).

Edo nodded. "Your right, nya." Edo said.
Edo then turned his gaze to the Rathalos, "I wonder if there's enough there to make a normal sized Heavy Bowgun, nya, and still leave plenty for the others, nya..." Edo though outloud.
